While the rest of the world continues the steady slowdown towards Christmas, the team here at Biggerplate has been working hard to enable MindNode users to share their mind maps on Biggerplate at last!

MindNode and Biggerplate… together at last!

MindNode is a hugely popular mind mapping tool for Mac and iOS users, and to be honest, should have been on Biggerplate a long time ago… that’s our fault. We’re so excited to finally be working with Markus Müller-Simhofer and his fantastic team in Vienna, and ahead of this announcement we asked the MindNode founder a few questions…

Q. For those who are not already familiar with MindNode, can you provide a little background on the company and the software?
In 2007 I was working on a project called InfiniteCanvas — a Mac app that would allow you to create visual stories on an infinite canvas. All my efforts to turn my ideas into a product went nowhere. I felt lost and needed a way to get an overview of this project. This is when I discovered mind mapping and its ability to visualize ideas.

Existing mind mapping apps back then didn’t allow me to quickly capture and organize my thoughts. I took a break from InfiniteCanvas and started a side project called “MindNode”. This project soon became my main focus and now 12 years later MindNode is still evolving and growing year after year!

Visualise your ideas with MindNode — now supported on Biggerplate!

MindNode is created by IdeasOnCanvas and it’s our only product. We are a self-funded fully independent company located in Vienna, Austria. You can meet our team here.

Q. MindNode has a hugely loyal user base among the Mac and iOS community, why do MindNode users love the product?
MindNode brings delight and ease to brainstorming. Users love that they can easily take their thoughts and turn them into a clear and beautiful picture of their idea. This is made possible thanks to our simple, yet powerful UI. We highly value user-focused design and sweat over every single idea.

Plan a productive meeting with this MindNode template!

Furthermore, our users appreciate our seamless integration on Mac and iOS. We use native technologies to deeply integrate with the platforms and are the first to adopt new Apple features.

Q. What makes you excited about being on Biggerplate?
Over the past 11 years, we’ve seen what our users are capable of making with MindNode. We’re constantly learning about new ways mind mapping can be useful to people, whether as an extension of their toolkit at work or a way to keep track of their hobbies and we’re excited to see these fantastic mind maps reach Biggerplate’s audience and inspire others!

Our motto is “It starts with a thought”. But we don’t say where that thought comes from. Biggerplate is a fantastic platform to share your ideas, as well as get inspired by others and we’re happy that our users can now take brainstorming to a new level with a whole new community!
