Who should attend?

This webinar should be of interest to Business Architects, Business Leaders involved in business plan development, and Consultants that engage in strategy development through facilitated discussions. It’s also great for mind mappers that would like to learn techniques for evolving methods of presenting, filtering and exporting mind maps.

The aim of this webinar is to provide our Business Club members with an introduction to business model canvas delivery, through the use of mind mapping software, to support the evolution of business plans and the evolution of business strategies.

What will you learn?

Attendees of this session will experience a new approach to mind mapping and map formatting that presents models in the format of a business canvas which was popularised by Alexander Osterwalder & Yves Pigneur in their book Business Model Generation.

During this webinar, John will discuss the evolution of a “one page” business model that reflects the thoughts and priorities of business leadership in a way that can be easily communicated to others and support the development of strategy maps.

Speaker Bio: John Rogers

John Rogers has been involved in the Computer field since 1968 and during that time has delivered large scale business and technical innovation projects for both private sector and government organisations. After over 40 years in Development, Project and Program Management, and team leadership, he is currently working as a Management Consultant with a focus on Facilitation and Business Architecture, which involves the identification of organisational strategies, value propositions, business models and delivery strategies for large organisations such as Criminal Justice, Courts, Education, and special program initiatives.

John uses mind mapping on a regular basis in his job as a Project / Program Manager, Business Architect, Senior Consultant and Facilitator.

As a daily user of mind mapping, John has been using mind mapping since 1999 and has evolved a number of templates and approaches that have allowed him to manage large projects, facilitate group decision making and evolve a strong business architecture and planning practice with collaborative approaches at the core.

This webinar will present the use of mind mapping software as a Business Model Generator and though it does not follow the classic “mind mapping” through evolution concepts, it will show some new and innovative ways that mind mapping can be used to support the emerging practice of Business Architecture.

John would also like to add that some of the concepts introduced will be new to the attendees and should provide the foundation for evolving further discussions in the use of mind mapping for:

  • Business Modeling in an interactive environment
  • Development of Business Process Enhancement strategies for large organizations Evolution of Strategy Maps and Results Chains suitable for executive presentations
  • Strategy road maps as a Program Management toolset
  • Evolution of Logic Models as a basis for business definition and evolution planning

We hope you can tune in for what promises to be an excellent session!
